I continue to be shocked by just how good Monster is. Inspector Runge, the federal agent chasing Tenma, is one of my favorite characters because he is frightfully psychotic. I don’t want to give anything away, but it’s interesting how, as the series progresses, the depth of his problems is slowly revealed.
At first he simply appears gifted, then perhaps something of a workaholic, but as thing continue you come to realize that you’ve been misreading the signs all along, and his problem is much more interesting than that.
